On Cue

Pete loves to sing silly songs to the kids. He uses familiar tunes and changes the words; most of the time Hannah gets upset because he isn't singing the correct words. She fervently tries to correct him until she finally gives up.

The other day he was singing to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and her response made us both giggle. If only I had this on video...

Pete: Hannah is my best-est friend

Hannah (without hesitation): no, no, no, no, no

She didn't miss a beat. She didn't stop to think about anything; she just chimed right in using the same tune and added her own words. She loved making us giggle, so she continued to sing for a few more times. We've tried to get her to do it again, but apparently that is now an old trick:)

I love it! Mark does the same thing, but instead he takes good ole fashioned nursery rhymes and turns them into 'ghetto-style' - it frustrates me to no end!!! I would be so embarassed to hear my boys sing it the 'ghetto' way at school!!!!
