Hard Work Pays Off

Pete worked hard during his tour in NOLA. One of his favorite projects was laying the groundwork for several new nite labs. He opened one while still there, but the second one was not ready before we left. When we returned for our visit, he was able to see how all of his hard work paid off. Quite a proud moment for all of us - the kids loved seeing what Daddy does at work.

NOLA Friends

In May we made a quick trip to New Orleans to see friends from our tour there. We weren't able to stay long, but we managed to have a play date with both kids' best NOLA friends. Though we had been gone for a year, the kids picked right up where they left off. Hannah and Hunter are ready to go back and see their sweet friends again. This has to be the worst part of moving - leaving sweet friends. On the flip side, meeting sweet friends everywhere we go has its advantages too!

Hannah's End of the Year Picnic and Party

Hannah's class celebrated the end of the year with a picnic and party outside. The weather was perfect and Hannah loved having her brother around to play with all of her school friends. I'm having a hard time believing she's headed to Pre-K4 in just a few more weeks.

Preschool Program

At the end of the year program, the Hunter received his certificate for the year. It wasn't a formal affair, but I did ask Hunter to wear his nicer clothes. He knows that he is to wear tennis shoes to school (he's been doing it for years), so I never thought to clarify shoes for the day. We arrive at school and I look at his feet. I'm speechless! When I ask where his tennis shoes are, he simply says, "I just brought boots today!" Of all days - gotta love his spirit:) It was very cute and made a great memory. I guess that's just another way God is showing me to let go of things.
